Automobile En Direct among top-rated of SMB rankings in Quebec

Automobile En Direct is among the 300 most important SMB in Quebec, as Les Affaires newspaper published in a feature article on October 26, 2019.

In this feature, the managing editor of this leading Quebec periodical, Marine Thomas, reminds the public of the importance of homegrown, small and medium-sized businesses, highlighting that they contribute to half of the gross domestic product and over 87% of employment in the private sector.

To produce this ranking, Les Affaires solicited the participation of over 600 businesses with 499 employees or less, during the first half of 2019. Those that chose to participate then provided information on their commercial activities, which then were used to establish the ranking.

Automobile En Direct, a company whose origins date back to 2001, employs over 300 people. It is among the 13 businesses that Les Affaires ranked at the top in their classification; a ranking in which only 6% of the SMB cited are active in the retail sector, like Automobile En Direct.

Les Affaires has been publishing this ranking for about 20 years, to date. However, the 2019 edition employed a new methodology, which explains why the previous years’ classification was not indicated.
