A true visionary, Sébastien Bisaillon founded Automobile en Direct in 2001. The used car dealership on the South Shore, then named Bisaillon Automobile, was a life-long dream realized. Not yet turned 30, Mr. Bisaillon already benefited from a vast experience in the automotive field, but wanted to offer his customers a unique and innovative concept, never attempted up until then in the industry: a car dealership devoted entirely to pre-owned vehicles.
The adventure began on rue St-Pierre in St-Constant, with a modest inventory of two used cars for sale. Before long, however, customer satisfaction, quality of service and a professional follow-up combined to create a demand that outstripped supply. Soon dozens of satisfied owners and their cars were descending every month on the small lot. Backed by close partners who believed strongly in the business, Sébastien Bisaillon made the calculated bet of moving the dealership. The ever-growing team relocated to Route 132 in St-Constant, where the business remains today. At the time of the move the dealership adopted the name Grossiste en Direct, eventually becoming Automobile en Direct.
In this spacious locale, a veritable playground for car enthusiasts, shoppers could find used vehicles to fit all budgets. Each displayed vehicle was carefully chosen, thoroughly inspected and had to meet the exacting norms set by the Office de la Protection du Consommateur, in addition to the 150-point criteria set by Automobile en Direct, to be considered for sale. This ensured every buyer obtained the best possible vehicle at the best possible price.
The concept continued to take shape, all the members of the team contributing to its success by their enthusiasm, determination and sheer pleasure of working together. Automobile en Direct earned an enviable reputation thanks to this team which was committed to sharing its passion for cars, day after day, in a warm and friendly environment.
Automobile en Direct took pleasure in breaking down preconceived notions and restoring lustre to the pre-owned vehicle market. To accomplish this and to remain a leader in the field, another expansion was called for. A second location was established, on chemin Chambly in St-Hubert, which allowed the company to satisfy a growing number of car buyers. In addition to offering the traditional services it had always provided, the dealership opened here a full service centre, where car owners could have all their mechanical and repair services needs met, knowing they would benefit from a personalized follow-up adapted to their specific requirements.
